Office of the Secretary-General
The Office of the Secretary-General of the Syrian Democratic Alliance is one of the main offices of the Alliance, responsible for leading internal operations. It handles various tasks stemming from the duties of the Secretary-General as outlined in the internal regulations.
Responsibilities of the Office of the Secretary-General:
1. Overseeing the implementation of the internal regulations, code of conduct, and other operational systems, ensuring their adherence.
2. Managing membership affairs, including maintaining membership records and member profiles.
3. Safeguarding the archives of the Alliance, including all its documents, decisions from the General Assembly, the Secretariat, political and civil entities’ profiles, and foundational documents.
4. Supervising the Alliance’s website, its social media accounts, email communication, official seals, and all administrative and logistical matters.
5. Maintaining copies of financial records, managing the Syrian Talents Bank, and overseeing both internal and external communications for the Alliance.

Organizational Supervisor of the Alliance:
The Organizational Supervisor operates under the Office of the Secretary-General as per Article 15, Paragraph 4 of the internal regulations. The office convenes upon the request of the Secretary-General, who assigns tasks to office members based on expertise and knowledge. Both the Secretary-General and the Organizational Supervisor, along with other office members, work voluntarily without receiving any salaries or compensation for their efforts.
Duties and Authorities of the Organizational Supervisor:
The duties and responsibilities of the Organizational Supervisor, as outlined in the General Secretariat’s decision number 3 dated 29/10/2023, include:
- Archiving all decisions, reports, activities, and meetings of the Alliance’s leadership.
- Organizing and managing the Alliance’s internal and external meetings via various communication platforms, and overseeing in-person meetings when possible upon the request of the leadership.
- Organizational oversight of the General Secretariat’s official room, the Alliance’s official communication platforms, and any newly created communication groups across applications like WhatsApp or others as approved.
This includes ensuring smooth operations for the Alliance’s leadership, such as:
- Setting open and close times for discussion groups as needed.
- Defining discussion topics within the Alliance’s official group.
- Creating Google Forms when required, collecting responses, archiving them, and following up based on requests.
- Adding or removing members from WhatsApp groups in line with the internal regulations and operational systems.
4.Organizing the General Secretariat’s agenda as needed, managing meetings via communication platforms and the official groups.
5. Monitoring adherence to the political code of conduct, approved guidelines, and official decisions, and reporting any violations with recommendations to the leadership.
6. The Organizational Supervisor has the authority to enlist capable members of the Alliance to assist with duties, either temporarily or permanently, and delegate parts of these tasks to them as necessary.
